Camerawork and editing analysis

Blog tasks:

1) Pick three camera shots from the scene and explain what type of shot it is and what meanings or effect they have on the audience.
at 26 seconds into the clip the cameramen do a close up on the doctors face to show how scared and worried he is about the aliens. This would suggest that the audience would be worried for the doctor. At 43 seconds into the clip it shows that the Doctor is enraged at the people in charge of the operation to kill the aliens. This could suggest that the audience are scared for the Doctor because of his actions. At 1 minute 36 seconds, the doctor is angry at the boss because of his plan to kill the aliens. This could suggest for the audience that they are angry as well because off the bosses plan.

2) Pick one camera angle that is used in the scene and explain the effect it has on the audience.
At 1 minute 36 seconds the cameraman uses a zoom angle to show the Doctors expression. It has an effect on the audience because it shows the Doctors facial expression more clearly.

3) Pick one aspect of camera movement in the clip. Identify the type of camera movement and write about why the director chose to use that camera movement in the scene and what effect it has on the audience.
At 30 seconds they zoomed into the women's face because the director wanted to her expressions on her face more clearly. The effect it would have on the audience is that they would be worried for the creature who have there brains in there hand because of them not really knowing who they are.

4) Pick one aspect of editing in the clip and write about what it tells the audience.
At 3 minutes and 3 seconds editing was used when the women was getting electrocuted by one of the creatures brain. It tells that the audience likes something like during the 2000 because as we know the editing now is really good compared to the 2000.
