Mise-En-Scene Stranger Things analysis

  1) What do each of the letters in CLAMPS stand for? The C connotes for costume, the L connotes for lighting, the A connotes for actor-placement and movement, the M connotes for make-up and the S connotes for setting.                          2) What TV genre is Stranger Things? You can  use the IMDB website  to help you with this.  I personally think the TV genre is a bit of this and that.I think it is a science fiction as well as horror fiction. The reasons for why i specifically aimed at these two is because there are scientists doing experiment on a girl which shows that science is involved in this. The reason of why i say it is a horror fiction is because after the scientists done there experiment onto her she escapes and then gets these supernatural powers which she can move stuff with her mind which could then connote that if younger viewers were watching this they would get scared.     3) Choose  THREE  aspects of mise-en-scene (e.g. costume, lighting, setting) and write a short pa

Camerawork and editing analysis

Blog tasks: 1) Pick  three  camera  shots  from the scene and explain what type of shot it is and what meanings or effect they have on the audience.    at 26 seconds into the clip the cameramen do a close up on the doctors face to show how scared and worried he is about the aliens. This would suggest that the audience would be worried for the doctor. At 43 seconds into the clip it shows that the Doctor is enraged at the people in charge of the operation to kill the aliens. This could suggest that the audience are scared for the Doctor because of his actions. At 1 minute 36 seconds, the doctor is angry at the boss because of his plan to kill the aliens. This could suggest for the audience that they are angry as well because off the bosses plan.  2) Pick  one  camera  angle  that is used in the scene and explain the effect it has on the audience.  At  1 minute 36 seconds the cameraman uses a zoom angle to show the Doctors expression. It has an effect on the audience because it shows the Doct

WWW: -            You are really on top of your work and trying to add more detail -            Your blog is really well organised but you need to make sure the titles are all what it tells you on Macguffin EBI: -            You need to add more detail to your answers using evidence. Look over your notes in your exercise book and the notes on Media Macguffin to develop your responses further. You need to use LIAR to analyse the film poster and I’m not sure this is a real film poster. -            Make sure you include key media terminology when you are analyse media products (e.g. close analysis of the   advert and the Tesco advert clip where you have not written in enough detail – use CLAMPS to help you and try and say something about each one) -            For your work on camerawork and editing, you have not fully understood the task. You were supposed to choose three camera edits or movement (when the shots change or the camera pans / moves) and say at what time in the clip these w

October assessment learner response

1.WWW-You're clearly revised and you understand the questions and read them carefully. You use media terms (words) accurately most of the the time well done! 2. EBI- The answer on first 3/4 of the paper are so good but you need to work on your timing. You cannot afford to miss out an 8 mark essay question. So try and attempt that question now and,in future, don't over-write for a 2 mark question! 3. I didn't use any media terminology wrong. 4.I think i did well on question 6 because i understood it well because of the word convey in it.Because convey meant to see which then i understood that i had to see the image and describe it. 5.i think one of my weaker questions was number 8 because i forgotten all about the camera angles so i wrote zoom which was wrong. 9.Charities use children in there advertising to make the consumer fell sympathy for them because children are vulnerable. Also the writing were it says water aid the 'aid' bit is in blue which could connote that

I think why this advert is so successful because at the top of the image there are penguins being close together which could suggest that they are trying to breed to save there species from going extinct because of Global Warming and Climate Change. Also if you look more further down at the image, you will be able to see penguins falling to there downfall in other words dying. The reason why that they could be dead is because of the ice melting. Also you could see the lighting changing when the penguins are dying because at the top of the poster you could see all white which suggests life and at the bottom there is darkness which could suggest death. In other terms Juxtaposition.

what i can see about this water aid poster is that there is a boy with big sad eyes because he has got no water. Also i can see that there is a sentence saying Dig toilets Not graves. What it could suggest is that if you don't make toilets people are just going to do there waste inside lakes and the poor kid in the picture could be getting the water and drinking it because is too poor to get clean water. Also the background could suggest that he lives in a developing country e.g Africa. Also in the background,I could see some huts which could suggest that the boy lives in a poor conditioned house. And the country he is living in is hot which could also suggest that the place is dry and humid which could lead to him getting more dirty water which could lead to diseases.
